I normally sleep with a CPAP machine to counter mild sleep apnea. However I frequently camp with the scouts and lugging a CPAP and batteries is not feasible. The "anti-snoring unit" was purchased with the hope that it would get me through the nights when I'm camping or on trips. I'm happy to report that for me it does the job. With the fan on the middle speed setting I get just enough pressure and flow to sleep soundly. The unit looks funny and flimsy, but does the job.

Quiet. It can work, it is very quiet now, and it is small compared with CPAP scuba equipment, and it can produce some airflow.
